Data collected

Purposes and legal bases

This data is used to provide the game, its leaderboards and groups, save progress, manage full access and billing (performance of the contract), and to comply with accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Leaderboards, comparisons and groups

Your XP and answers are recorded to calculate leaderboards and anonymous statistics (for example « 64% of players get this question wrong » or « you do better than 70% of players »). These statistics do not identify you (legitimate interest: improving the educational content). You appear on public leaderboards only if you have chosen to, under a username: your e-mail and your name are never shown (consent, which can be withdrawn at any time from « The Palais »).

By joining a group, you appear on that group's leaderboard under the name you choose, visible to other members. The group leader sees anonymous group statistics and, only if you have agreed, your individual progress (XP and mastery by theme). You can leave a group at any time. Game scores are not an assessment and are not intended to be used for grading.

Recipients and processors

Supabase (hosting of accounts and saves, European Union), Netlify (site hosting), Stripe (payment). Where one of these providers processes data outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the safeguards set out in its data processing agreement (DPA).. The data is neither sold nor used for advertising.

Retention periods

Account and progress data are kept as long as the account is active, then deleted 2 years after the last login. Accounting records are kept for 10 years.

Local storage

The game stores in your browser the login session, a copy of your save and your settings (sound). This storage is strictly necessary for the service; no advertising or audience-measurement trackers are used.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them or delete your account, write to contact@jurygeek.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).
